Operations and maintenance (O&M) is the fastest growing segment in solar and our residential and electrical service technicians stay productive and busy in our local area. The Service Technician supports the Service Manager to accomplish commissioning, troubleshooting, regular maintenance and repairs of residential and commercial solar systems. The Service Technician needs basic knowledge of solar systems, equipment, installation best practices and national electrical code (NEC) along with excellent customer service. Compensation - $30.00 to 45.00 hr, experience and qualifications will be a factor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dispatch for service calls as scheduled by the Service Coordinator or Service Manager, accurately document work as it is completed, invoice customers using transaction systems, update all jobs and notes as in the field service software portal.
• Demonstrate ability to organize time; travel to multiple sites daily; manage multiple issues at the same time; and respond to rapidly changing demands.
• Job duties may vary as necessary to best support the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Electrical Trainee or Apprentice Registration Required CA Journeyman status preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, climb ladders, squat, kneel, walk on uneven surfaces, work with hand tools, work outside in inclement weather.
• Travel to local job sites required.

Must have clean DMV record and be able to safely and legally operate motor vehicles.
