Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and safety procedures. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions. Handle high-voltage electrical wiring safely on construction sites or during renovations, following NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for wiring, conduit bending, termination, and system installation tasks. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and industrial electrical components to restore functionality swiftly. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety compliance and optimal performance; document findings thoroughly. Experience Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial and commercial electrical systems; construction site experience is highly valued. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals accurately. Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems including high-voltage wiring, low voltage circuits, and control panels. Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is essential. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), relays, circuit breakers, transformers, and other industrial automation components. Knowledge of renovation projects or construction experience involving electrical wiring upgrades or new installations is a plus.
