Job Description
This position is called upon to plan, troubleshoot, repair, and install new within field of expertise. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Performs high level maintenance and repairs on building interior and exterior. Performs troubleshooting and root cause analysis within their field of expertise. Identifies and creates materials list and general planning required to complete job assignments. Develops sequence of work regarding complex Building Maintenance & Repair assignments. Utilizes problem solving skills with the ability to establish corrective actions to eliminate recurrence of issues. Schedules tasks to efficiently complete complex Building Maintenance & Repair assignments. Creates Scope of Work for tasks requiring outside vendors/contractors. Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance. Maintains a schedule of when maintenance and repairs are required or has been performed and when next service is due. Works in an organized and safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others in building. Responsible for the completion and accuracy of documentation related to assigned tasks. Must possess the ability to safely use hand and power tools. May be assigned tasks outside the scope of this job description. Skills And Requirements Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library, with specific competency of general as well as related field documents. Journeyman Electrical License required Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides. Experienced working in industrial manufacturing buildings and systems. High degree of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and/or craftsman aptitude and repair abilities. Frequently lifts and/or move items over 35 pounds. Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised. Ability to work effectively in a group (Team) environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to speak/read/write English. Must be willing to have flexible work hours. Full knowledge, understanding and ability to perform the duties of Building Maintenance Tech I and Building Maintenance Tech II. Work Environment Office & Manufacturing Floor This position is not eligible for Remote Work Salary Range Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $35/hr to $45hr Travel Requirements There are typically no travel requirements for this position (0%)
