In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to renovations, utilizing your technical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-quality electrical solutions. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex electrical systems. Conduct high-voltage wiring tasks safely while following strict electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards. Install and maintain industrial electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high-voltage wiring setups. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for wiring, conduit bending, termination work, and system upgrades on construction sites or renovation projects. Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently through systematic diagnostics, ensuring minimal downtime for clients or project sites. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation or repair activities in compliance with the NEC (National Electrical Code). Collaborate with project teams during construction or renovation phases to ensure timely completion of electrical work aligned with project specifications. Experience Proven experience as an electrician in industrial settings with a strong background in industrial electrical systems. Commercial electrician experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with commercial electrical systems and building codes. Hands-on experience with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements for safe installation practices. Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and circuit analyzers. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high-voltage wiring, and electrical blueprint reading. Construction site experience including installation, renovation, or maintenance projects within commercial or industrial environments. Ability to read technical drawings accurately while following local electrical codes for safe work practices. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures combined with practical experience working with power tools and hand tools on active job sites.
