The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial construction settings. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in conduit installation and bending, wire pulling, panel and transformer installations, and a strong working knowledge of NEC standards and OSHA safety guidelines. This role requires a dependable self-starter who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team on an active job site.

Responsibilities:
Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate wiring needs on commercial and industrial construction projects. Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting fixtures, electrical panels, transformers, switches, and motors. Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete assigned scope of work. Perform physical site tasks including manually digging and back-filling holes and trenches as required. Adhere to all National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and OSHA safety guidelines throughout the project. Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical installations, supported by an apprenticeship or equivalent field background. Strong working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and OSHA safety guidelines. Proficiency in conduit bending and installation, wire pulling, blueprint reading, schematic reading, and wiring diagram interpretation. Experience with electrical panel installation, transformer installation, lighting fixture installation, and circuit breaker installation. Possession of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and standard hand tools. Ability to distinguish color-coded wiring. Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Physical Requirements:
Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination. Must be able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be physically capable of manually digging and back-filling holes and trenches. Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time and work in various physical positions. Must be capable of working in inclement weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures. Must be able to work around wood dust and fumes, with potential exposure to heights and loud noises. Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
