Job Description

Job Title:
Maintenance Technician II For direct contact with the hiring manager text your NAME and the word TECH II to 510 209 2515 Job Description As a Maintenance Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will also have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. This position offers the chance to develop your skills while mentoring junior technicians to help them grow in their roles. Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays. Maintain positive working relationships across all Operations facilities. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 1+ years of experience in metal and wood fabrication. 1+ years of experience in reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles. Ability to use a multimeter. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ years of experience with multimeter Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards. Project Management experience. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Able to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
Preferred:
Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field. 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field. Work Environment The role involves physical activities such as reaching, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps/ladders, and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. You will be required to wear a mask, face shield, and composite toed boots. The work environment includes fluctuating temperatures and involves walking 6 to 12 miles per day. Regular use of a computer or stand-up desk for 1-2 hours per day is expected. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Richmond, CA.
