Job Description

Journeyman Residential Electrician Drummond Electric LLC — San Jose / Bay Area Drummond Electric is seeking an experienced residential journeyman electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship and can confidently handle projects and service calls independently. Our work includes whole-home rewires, main panel and subpanel upgrades, residential service work, troubleshooting, EV chargers, new construction, and remodels. Familiarity with solar and battery storage systems is a strong plus as we consider expanding into these services. Responsibilities Complete whole-home and partial rewires, including work in older homes. Install and upgrade main service panels, subpanels, feeders, and branch circuits. Diagnose and repair electrical problems safely and efficiently. Handle residential service calls and clearly explain findings to customers. Perform rough-in and finish electrical work for new construction and remodels. Install EV chargers, lighting, receptacles, switches, and dedicated circuits. Read plans, organize materials, and coordinate work with other trades. Maintain clean job sites and treat customers' homes with care. Qualifications Strong hands-on experience as a residential journeyman electrician. Ability to troubleshoot independently and complete work with minimal supervision. Solid knowledge of electrical codes and safe work practices. Experience with service upgrades, grounding and bonding, and inspection requirements. Reliable attendance, clear communication, and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Experience Solar PV installations, inverters, battery storage, backup power systems, transfer equipment, and integration with existing residential electrical systems. We're looking for someone who can contribute immediately to our residential work and help us develop our solar and battery capabilities as the business grows.
