Job Description

Compensation:
Hourly Rate :
$25-$30 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Benefits :
Paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. Medical benefits are available (wait times apply)
Tool Stipend :
A $250 stipend is provided for the purchase of necessary hand and power tools.
Job Requirements:
Experience :
3-5 years in the field.
Tools :
Must own hand and power tools.
Travel :
This position requires local travel in and around Los Angeles County; a company vehicle will be provided while on the clock.
Skills :
Electrical Installation and Maintenance :
o Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers. o Skilled in interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to plan and execute installations. o Pipe Bending is a plus
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving :
o Competent in diagnosing and resolving issues in electrical systems, using tools like multimeters and circuit testers. o Able to identify and repair faults in wiring, circuits, and other components efficiently.
Use of Electrical Tools and Equipment :
o Proficient with tools such as wire strippers, conduit benders, voltage testers, and screwdrivers.
Basic Math and Measurement :
o Able to perform basic calculations and measurements needed for electrical work, such as determining load capacity or wire length. o Familiar with unit conversions and calculations related to power, voltage, current, and resistance.
Customer Service and Communication :
o Able to communicate clearly with clients to explain work performed, provide safety tips, and discuss any follow-up work. o Comfortable working in residential settings and interacting professionally with homeowners.
Time Management and Organization :
o Efficient at managing time to complete tasks within the expected schedule. o Skilled in organizing tools and materials, ensuring that work sites are kept clean and safe.
Physical Stamina and Dexterity :
o Physically capable of working in tight spaces, climbing ladders, and performing tasks that may require dexterity and strength.
Safety Practices :
o Knowledgeable about workplace safety regulations and best practices to avoid electrical hazards. o Skilled in using personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools safely to protect themselves and others on the job. Basic Knowledge of Home Automation Systems (Optional) : o Familiarity with smart home devices, such as automated lighting, thermostats, and security systems, as these are increasingly common in modern residences. Knowledge of Electrical Codes and Regulations (Optional) : o Familiar with local, state, and national electrical codes (such as the National Electrical Code in the U.S.) to ensure work complies with regulations. o Able to complete inspections and address code compliance issues.
