This is a full-time W-2 position with steady, varied work. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring adherence to electrical building codes and NFPA 70 standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system configurations. Perform electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or existing facilities, including industrial motor maintenance and repair. Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues and verify system performance. Conduct electrical diagnostics to troubleshoot complex problems involving motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and other automation components. Follow electrical safety procedures diligently during all phases of installation and maintenance work to protect yourself and colleagues from hazards. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, troubleshooting logs, and compliance documentation related to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Qualifications Active California DIR registration/certification as a Journeyman Electrician (required — must provide current card). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a background check OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements. Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, motor control equipment, PLCs, low voltage systems, and industrial motor maintenance. Proficiency with testing instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters for precise diagnostics. Familiarity with electrical safety procedures on construction sites or in operational facilities. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring construction site experience. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using electrical troubleshooting techniques. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and work at heights as needed
