Electrician Trainee -

Shafter, California Starting Pay:
$25-$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

We are hiring Electrician Trainees for a commercial project in Shafter, California . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are developing their electrical skills and want to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced journeymen and foremen. We are looking for dependable, safety-minded trainees who take pride in their work and want to grow within the electrical trade. Responsibilities Under the supervision of certified electricians and project leadership, you will assist with: Installing underground conduit, vaults, and transformer pads Measuring, cutting, bending, and installing conduit Installing metal-clad cable and electrical supports Pulling and feeding wire and cable Installing panels, transformers, light fixtures, receptacles, switches, and other electrical equipment Loading, unloading, staging, and organizing tools and materials Reading and understanding electrical plans and specifications Operating wire pullers, tuggers, and feeders Using ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts after completing required training Maintaining clean and organized work areas Following instructions from journeymen and foremen Complying with company safety policies and PPE requirements Learning proper commercial electrical installation methods Benefits Company-paid medical insurance Company-paid dental insurance Company-paid vision insurance Life insurance AFLAC supplemental coverage 401(k) with company matching Annual profit sharing Competitive wages Paid vacation Paid holidays Paid sick leave Ongoing safety and skills training Opportunities for career advancement Training and Career Development Vasko Electric supports employees who want to develop their skills and advance within the electrical trade.
Training opportunities include:
OSHA safety training CPR and First Aid certification Scissor-lift and aerial-lift certification Lockout/Tagout training Hands-on electrical skills development Support toward California General Electrician Certification Opportunities to advance into journeyman and leadership positions Employees may also gain experience with industry-leading technology, including Procore, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Bluebeam, and Trimble Robotic Total Stations. Qualifications Active California Electrician Trainee registration Current enrollment in a California-approved electrical training program Commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred Basic knowledge of electrical tools, materials, and safe work practices Ability to follow instructions and work productively as part of a team Willingness to learn and continue developing within the electrical trade Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening Commitment to safety, attendance, quality workmanship, and teamwork How to Apply Reply to this posting with your résumé, active California Electrician Trainee registration number, and current contact information.
