Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. We have work all over central California, bay and Sacramento area. Work Truck and fuel card are provided. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems within industrial and commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure that electrical operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently across various facilities. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with local electrical codes and NEC. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute projects. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while following all electrical safety procedures. Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; identify faults quickly and implement effective solutions. Conduct routine maintenance on industrial electrical equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and control panels. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for wiring installations, conduit bending, cable pulling, and system upgrades. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure electrical work aligns with project specifications and timelines. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and repairs made to ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide instructions and oversight for apprentice electricians in training. Skills Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in Industrial Manufacturing electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures. Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and troubleshooting software. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately. Experience working with industrial electrical systems including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage control circuits. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in industrial settings. Construction site experience with renovation projects or new installations is highly desirable. Strong understanding of electrical wiring techniques for both new construction and retrofit projects. Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while following all safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
