California Certified General Electrician | Commercial SolarJob Summary SunTech Energy is seeking an experienced California Certified General Electrician to join our team for commercial solar installations. Candidates must hold a current and active California General Electrician Certification. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial electrical experience, with previous experience in commercial solar PV installations, rooftop solar, and solar carports highly preferred . This position involves hands on electrical installation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of commercial photovoltaic systems. Candidates should be comfortable reading electrical plans and single line diagrams, working with AC and DC electrical systems, and performing electrical work in commercial construction environments. Responsibilities Perform electrical installation work for commercial photovoltaic solar systems in accordance with the NEC, project plans, and applicable codes Install conduit, conductors, disconnects, inverters, transformers, switchgear, electrical panels, and other electrical components Perform AC and DC electrical work associated with commercial solar PV systems Read and interpret electrical plans, single line diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and project specifications Perform electrical testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Assist with startup and commissioning of commercial solar systems Work on commercial rooftop and solar carport projects Coordinate with project supervisors, electricians, and installation crews to complete projects safely and efficiently Follow OSHA requirements, electrical safety procedures, and company safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite Travel to project locations as required Required Qualifications Current and active California General Electrician Certification Experience performing commercial electrical work Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and commercial electrical installations Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, and single line diagrams Experience installing conduit, wiring, panels, disconnects, switchgear, and other commercial electrical equipment Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to safely use electrical tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment Ability to work outdoors and at heights when required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Dependable, safety conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Commercial solar PV installation experience Commercial rooftop solar experience Solar carport experience Experience with solar inverters and AC and DC solar electrical systems Experience with switchgear, transformers, and commercial electrical service equipment Solar system troubleshooting and commissioning experience About SunTech Energy SunTech Energy is a commercial solar installation and EPC company specializing in commercial rooftop, solar carport, and large scale photovoltaic projects. $85.00 - $103.00 per hour
