An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

About us Shield Electric is a family-owned and operated shop with a tight, experienced crew and a reputation for doing the job right the first time. We specialize in manufacturing facilities and wholesale/retail environments, so the work is steady, hands-on, and varied — one week you're on industrial controls and motors, the next you're running branch circuit wiring. You won't get pigeonholed into a single task. You'll get broad exposure, real mentorship, and a clear path to advance. What you'll do You'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings, including: Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment Troubleshooting faults and making repairs Reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams Installing, repairing, and replacing control devices and motors Performing preventative maintenance Ensuring compliance with all applicable electrical codes Working with our engineers and techs on more complex problems Leading and mentoring apprentices on site What you need
Required:
Current Colorado Journeyman Electrician license 4+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience Valid driver's license and clean driving record High school diploma or equivalent Able to lift 50 lbs Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Nice to have (not required): Experience with generators and battery backup systems Motor controls experience — PLC and relay logic What we offer $38-$45/hour depending on experience, plus overtime and bonus pay Company-provided work vehicle — no wear and tear on your own truck Health insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid time off Professional development assistance and room to grow with the company Schedule Full-time, standard 8-hour shifts with optional overtime available.
