What they do
An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment and components.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect pivot electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and/or defects.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Test pivot electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring.
- Follow and adhere to pivot operation manuals and procedures.
- Perform duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment
- Work from ladders to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and components
- Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit, climbing pivot towers, moving and lifting heavy objects
- Stay current on pivot and pump station technology and best installation practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding farming, agriculture, irrigation and related equipment is a must.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of irrigation equipment and systems.
- Maintain current driver's license and clean driving record at all times.
- Maintain current electrical license status with Colorado state.
