Job Description

NSC Skilled Trades is hiring a Licensed Journeyman Electrician for an LED lighting retrofit project at a public school. This is a great opportunity for an experienced commercial electrician looking for strong hourly pay and steady project work .
What You'll Be Doing:
Remove existing fixtures, lamps, ballasts, and lighting components Install new LED fixtures and retrofit kits Install drivers, occupancy sensors, and lighting controls Perform wiring, terminations, and minor circuit modifications Troubleshoot 120V and 277V lighting circuits Test new fixtures and controls for proper operation Read electrical drawings, fixture schedules, and project specifications Work from ladders and scissor lifts as needed Maintain a clean and professional work area Follow NEC, local electrical codes, and site safety requirements
What We're Looking For:
Active Journeyman Electrician license required Commercial electrical experience LED lighting or lighting retrofit experience preferred Strong troubleshooting skills Ability to read electrical drawings and identify circuits Standard electrical hand tools and required PPE Ability to work independently and maintain production goals Professional appearance and conduct for a public school environment Ability to pass required background screening and drug testing Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work from ladders/lifts Flexibility to work evenings, nights, or weekends when necessary
