Job Description

Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician (PM&R) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled & compassionate Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician to join our team as a Staff Physician. This position provides direct patient care to outpatient patients with medical & rehabilitation needs & plays an integral role in developing & managing individualized rehabilitation plans. The Staff Physician will collaborate closely with other healthcare providers to assess patients, make appropriate medical decisions, determine rehabilitative treatment pathways & provide ongoing rehabilitation care management to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient medical & rehabilitation care.
  • Assess, evaluate, diagnose & treat patients using evidence-based best practices.
  • Develop & implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs & rehabilitation goals.
  • Coordinate patient care with other clinic providers, specialists & outside medical offices.
  • Provide rehabilitation-related medical services across a variety of diagnostic categories.
  • Perform appropriate medical injections, including injections related to injured-worker care.
  • Evaluate & manage patients with concussions across a variety of age groups.
  • Perform EMG & nerve conduction studies (NCS).
  • Interpret electrodiagnostic findings & correlate results with the patient's clinical presentation.
  • Complete accurate & timely EMG/NCS reports & related clinical documentation.
  • Communicate clinically significant electrodiagnostic findings to appropriate providers & patients when indicated.
  • Participate in the care of pediatric patients, as appropriate.
  • Manage medical-legal responsibilities, including:
  • Preparation of medical narratives & reports.
  • Dispositions.
  • Expert testimony.
  • Collaboration & communication with attorney offices.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough & timely medical records.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support quality outcomes & continuity of care.
  • Stay current with PM&R best practices, clinical guidelines & applicable regulatory requirements. Qualifications
MD OR DO
degree
  • Specialization in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Current, unrestricted state medical license.
  • Board certification in PM&R or another applicable medical specialty.
  • Experience or demonstrated competency in EMG/NCS is required.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic & treatment-planning skills.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, medical staff, patients & outside professionals.
  • Ability to provide high-quality care across diverse patient populations, including pediatric patients as appropriate.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a patient-focused PM&R physician who combines strong clinical expertise with excellent communication & collaboration skills. Experience with electrodiagnostic medicine, concussion management, injured-worker care, medical-legal services & rehabilitation medicine is highly valued. Schedule & Compensation

          Compensation:
