E&I Technician
  • Montville, CT Day shift work schedule: Monday
  • Friday, 7 a.m.
  • 3:30 p.
m. Fluor is a global engineering and maintenance leader, and our team supports the Rand Whitney Containerboard mill in Montville, CT. This is a full‑time, long‑term role working directly on high‑speed paper machine systems in a modern, highly automated facility. If you're an experienced industrial electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, autonomy, and working with complex equipment, this is a strong career opportunity. What You'll Do Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems throughout the mill Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, single‑lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics Troubleshoot and repair 480V 3‑phase motor circuits, 120V control circuits, and 4-20 mA loops Calibrate and maintain instrumentation using RTD, mA, and T/C calibrators Work with PLCs, smart pressure transmitters, magnetic & DP flow meters, temperature transmitters, control valves, and smart valve controllers Assist with troubleshooting ABB DCS systems Support mill operations by working scheduled and emergency overtime as needed What You Bring High school diploma or GED 5+ years of industrial electrical or E&I experience preferred Familiarity with PLCs and PLC logic CT Electrical License strongly preferred Instrumentation or electrical trade school degree a plus Pay & Benefits Up to $43/hr DOE and licensure 401(k) with 5% company match Medical, dental, vision FSA Short‑term disability Life insurance Paid time off + paid holidays Parental leave Bereavement leave Employee assistance program Employee discounts Fluor reserves the right to modify or revise the job descriptions in part or in its entirety.
