The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with electrical installations, troubleshooting, service upgrades, renovations, and new construction projects while ensuring compliance with all applicable electrical codes and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Perform and oversee residential and commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. Install, troubleshoot, and service: Electrical panels and switchgear Service upgrades Lighting systems Emergency generators Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings. Ensure all work complies with NEC, Connecticut State Building Code, and local municipal requirements. Coordinate inspections and obtain permits as required. Lead and mentor E-2 electricians, apprentices, and helpers. Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in residential and commercial environments. Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors. Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and project progress. Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA standards. Qualifications Active Connecticut E-1 Unlimited Electrical Contractor License required. Minimum 10+ years of electrical experience in residential and commercial environments. Strong knowledge of NEC and Connecticut electrical codes.
Experience with:
New construction Renovations and remodels Service work Generator installations Commercial tenant fit-outs Troubleshooting and diagnostics Ability to supervise crews and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and construction sites.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
