Full Job Description Overview:

SUMMARY:
The Master Electrician is a highly skilled professional responsible for overseeing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires extensive experience and expertise in electrical systems, codes, and regulations. The Master Electrician manages teams of electricians, ensures compliance with safety standards, and leads electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard in accordance to industry, federal, and DOS regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all electrical trade functions necessary to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair lighting and electrical systems safely and within the guidelines of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Maintain professionalism when interacting with peer and supervisory employees, and customer representatives. Must be well versed in the use of many and varied types of test equipment such as voltmeters, amprobes, meggers, etc., and must possess outstanding eye-hand coordination. Inspects completed work for conformance to standards. Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components. Possess excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills. Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions. Updating project records and preparing relevant documents and reports for clients. Liaising with clients, vendors, and suppliers. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE
Must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience working in the Commercial Facilities/ Operation and Maintenance Arena. A Master Electrical License is required. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance preferred. Maximo CMMS Experience a plus, but not required. Microsoft Computer skills (Office, Word, Outlook etc.) a plus but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the ability to maneuver around the building site; see, hear and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Performance of essential and ancillary functions requires maintenance of physical conditioning adequate for sitting, walking or standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching, squatting, stretching, bending for prolonged periods of time; at time lift and carry up to as much as 60 pounds, near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech with background noise. In performing the required work, it is required to have the ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, do a lot of walking, use every kind of hand tool, work in hazardous positions, carry heavy tools.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.
