Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues quickly and efficiently. Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring work safely on construction sites or during renovation projects. Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations during all electrical work. Use hand tools and power tools skillfully for wiring, conduit bending, panel installation, and system upgrades. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and industrial electrical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation or repair tasks while adhering to safety procedures. Collaborate with project teams during construction or renovation projects to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks. Prioritize safety by following all electrical safety procedures, including proper grounding, lockout/tagout protocols, and personal protective equipment usage. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams effectively. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards along with local electrical codes is essential. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters for accurate troubleshooting. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), power tools, hand tools, and construction site safety practices. Ability to work independently or as part of a team on diverse projects including renovation or new construction sites.
