Job Description

Heidelberg Materials seeks an experienced Electrician to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant electrical systems, motors, conveyors, and control panels to ensure safe, reliable production. You'll perform preventive maintenance, interpret schematics, and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime. Working in a safety-first, collaborative environment, you'll help improve reliability, support energy-efficient solutions, and contribute to sustainable, critical infrastructure projects while growing your technical and leadership skills. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair plant electrical systems, equipment, and controls Troubleshoot electrical issues on motors, conveyors, and production machinery to minimize downtime Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance on industrial equipment Apply and follow strict safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and
NFPA 70 E
practices Assist with upgrades, modifications, and energy-efficient improvements to electrical systems Document maintenance activities, parts used, and findings in maintenance systems Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to support production goals Required Skills Industrial electrical troubleshooting Reading electrical schematics PLC familiarity VFD installation and tuning Motor controls and starters Preventive and predictive maintenance Use of electrical test equipment Conduit bending and wiring Lockout/Tagout procedures Compliance with NEC and NFPA 70 E
