Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential/Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will ensure that electrical work complies with all safety standards and local electrical codes, including the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 70) and the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovations, utilizing your extensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver safe, reliable electrical solutions. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings, ensuring adherence to all safety procedures and local codes Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and power tools to identify faults and implement effective solutions Manage high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage systems for various applications, including industrial electrical systems when required Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems, including industrial equipment and commercial electrical infrastructure Follow all electrical safety procedures during installation and repair work to prevent hazards and ensure compliance with NFPA 70 standards Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate installation schedules, renovation projects, or construction site work Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and construction site experience Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately Knowledge of local electrical codes including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NEC compliance standards Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and circuit testers Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for industrial applications Ability to handle high-voltage wiring safely while following all safety procedures and regulations Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other electrical wiring equipment necessary for installation and repairs Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficient diagnostics and timely resolution of issues Valid electrician license or certification as required by state or local authorities; additional handyman or renovation experience is advantageous Join our team if you're passionate about delivering top-quality electrical work while ensuring safety at every step.
