We are a small, high impact team dedicated to the deployment of solar electric systems for homeowners and small businesses throughout the Capital Region. The Company is the result of years of experience in the national solar space, with renewed focus on regional operating efficiencies at the local community level. PlugPV is fun! We are excited to work together with one another, with industry stakeholders, and with customers to educate, promote, design, sell, install, and service residential and commercial solar. We are data driven, action oriented, creative thinkers looking to accomplish our goal! The Position The Electrical Junior is a mission critical role within the organization. This individual is responsible for aiding in the complete installation of AC System Components on each solar new solar array. The solar installation process is fast paced and ever changing. This person will coordinate with the Crew Lead to install electrical enclosures, wiring assemblies, grounding and bonding equipment, and line and load side conduit and fittings. The Responsibilities Oversee and aid in the preparation of job materials, crew members, and equipment Work with Operations Manager to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of safety protocols Deploy with the installation crew to each installation Conduct a customer walkthrough and interface with customers throughout each installation. Direct and aid in the staging of materials Direct and perform equipment layout activities Install electrical equipment, wire, and conduit per specifications Ensure all closeout and commissioning procedures are being completed Additional duties as needed Aid in the preparation of job materials, crew members, and equipment Work with Crew to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of all company safety protocols Deploy with the installation crew to each installation Aid in the staging of materials Hang electrical enclosures, junction boxes, conduit, and conduit support Wire DC & AC System components Commission and Configure each new installation Aid in the completion of all closeout tasks Additional duties as needed Qualifications 1 year experience in the solar industry or NABCEP Entry Level Course Completion preferred Completion of an Electrician's course or hands on experience with electrical installation preferred Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold) & Capable of lifting 50 lbs Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops Excellent customer service & communication skills Must be a self-starter with a natural sense of urgency and motivation to succeed Must have a valid state driver's license and the ability to pass a pre-employment background screening
