Job Description

Overview We are looking to add a diesel mechanic to our team to work mainly on American passenger trucks such as Ford 6.7 Chevy 6.6 and Dodge 5.9 Cummins. We are a shop that primarily services gasoline engines; therefore, experience with gasoline engines and the ability to use a scan tool for diagnosis are strongly preferred. But we want to add someone who can also handle diesel work. Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles. In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of diesel engines, industrial machinery, and heavy equipment. Whether working on excavators, cranes, or farm machinery, your skills will keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment that values precision, innovation, and customer service. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension components, and other using OEM specifications and schematics. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignments, and system inspections to prevent future issues. welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues in farm machinery, industrial equipment, or automotive systems. Conduct automotive diagnostics for various vehicle types including trucks and service vehicles to identify faults quickly and accurately. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed while ensuring compliance with safety standards and OEM guidelines. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance. Extensive knowledge of Familiarity with OEM parts sourcing and the use of schematics for troubleshooting electrical or hydraulic systems. Mechanical knowledge across multiple systems including transmissions, HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning), air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and alignment procedures. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment for automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs or assembly tasks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair processes and timelines. Experience in tire service and general automotive repair; capable of performing wheel alignments and brake repairs efficiently.
