JOB SUMMARY
This is a full time (M-F, 8am-5pm) industrial control panel fabrication, assembly, and wiring position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform as a Barney's Pumps team member. Our employees exhibit high competency, high character, and are oriented toward action. Follow electrical schematics, layout drawings, and written instructions to build industrial control panels within time goals. Safely operate power and hand tools used to cut, drill, tap, punch, and assemble various electrical and mechanical components. Safely operate tools such as cable and wire cutters, strippers, and crimpers to cut, bend, and form copper wiring assemblies. Safely operate metal working equipment such as hydraulic and manual shears, hydraulic and hand brakes, various saws, drill press, hand drills, rivet guns, sanders and routers to fabricate various panel components from aluminum sheet metal, bar and rod stock.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of industry standard electrical symbols and the ability to read an electrical control schematic is required. General knowledge of the NEC as it applies to motor controls and UL508A and/or 698A standards is a plus. Must possess, at minimum, basic skills with common hand and power tools. Ability to carry out a series of work instructions and stay on task without constant supervision. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability and willingness to work safely at all times. Must maintain a careful attention to detail. Must be able to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, lift (up to 50lbs), carry, pull, push, bend, reach, and grasp. Must be able to work in an open-air shop environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum high school diploma (or equivalent) is required. Electrical vocational training is a plus. Minimum 2 years' experience building, wiring, and/or maintaining industrial motor controls is preferred. Previous experience with VFD's, Soft Starters, and/or PLC's is a plus.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Must have a valid US driver's license.

From $22.00 per hour
