Key Responsibilities Mechanical Focus:
Troubleshoot, assemble, disassemble, and perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment. Perform basic plumbing, welding, and operate shop machinery, including cutting torches, plasma cutters, and cut-off saws. Read and interpret basic machine diagrams and plant layout drawings to diagnose issues and execute repairs. Help maintain the plant fire system and participate on the plant emergency response team.
Electrical Focus:
Run conduit, initiate new electrical circuits, and assist with calibrating in-plant electrical equipment. Interpret complex electrical drawings using advanced shop math and handbook formulas. Maintain indoor/outdoor plant lighting systems and manage inventory control alongside Class A Electricians.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Technical Training & Experience:
2-3 years of specialty or technical training, plus 1-2 years of mechanic/electrician experience. 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
For Electrician Focus:
1-3 years of experience with industrial electrical systems and a valid state-level electrician license/certification.
Certifications & Equipment Skills:
Forklift certification required; ability to operate scissor lifts and Genie booms.
Tools & Technical Skills:
Must own a personal set of industrial/electrical hand tools. Proficient with tape measures, precision instruments, and advanced shop math.
Schedule Flexibility:
Must be willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and respond to call-ins on short notice.
