Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely and efficiently while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations. Diagnose complex electrical issues within industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and other automation components. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and local electrical codes; document findings thoroughly. Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into building infrastructure. Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including inspections, repairs, upgrades, and compliance documentation. Skills Proven experience as an electrician in industrial and commercial settings with strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and construction site experience. Expertise in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints for renovation or new construction projects. Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing issues with electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment. Familiarity with high-voltage wiring practices and low voltage systems; ability to work safely following NFPA 70 compliance standards. Proficiency in installing and maintaining programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation components within industrial environments. Knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC regulations, and electrical safety procedures to ensure all work is compliant. Ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools including drills; power saws; as well as specialized equipment for electrical diagnostics. Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols during installation or renovation projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex electrical issues efficiently.
