Responsibilities Lead and coordinate electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities across industrial and commercial sites. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair work effectively. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Diagnose electrical system issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; develop effective solutions swiftly. Install and maintain high-voltage electrical wiring systems as well as low-voltage control circuits for industrial machinery or commercial systems. Manage the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and efficiently during all phases of work. Conduct inspections of electrical systems during renovation or construction projects; read blueprints accurately to ensure precise implementation. Troubleshoot complex electrical problems within industrial electrical systems or commercial setups to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and compliance records. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in both residential and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures. Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints for construction or renovation projects. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems using voltmeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring installations as well as low-voltage control systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams on construction sites or during complex installations. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation controls, and industrial electrical components is highly desirable. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to electrical work; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Construction site experience including renovation projects; handyman skills are a plus for versatile troubleshooting tasks.
