Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential Service Electrician / Service Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using advanced testing tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters, ensuring accurate identification of problems in residential electrical systems. Perform installations, repairs, and upgrades of electrical wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers in compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts and system configurations. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, local electrical codes, and industry best practices to maintain a safe working environment. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for wiring, conduit installation, panel upgrades, and renovation projects within residential properties. Collaborate with clients to assess their electrical needs during renovations or new installations while providing clear explanations of work performed. Maintain detailed documentation of service calls, repairs performed, parts used, and compliance records for each project. Skills Proven experience as a residential service electrician with knowledge of both low voltage and high-voltage electrical systems. Expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters. Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), local electrical codes, and safety procedures related to electrical work. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical blueprints confidently. Skilled in performing electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or during renovation projects with construction experience preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently through troubleshooting techniques. Experience working with hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; and testing equipment like voltmeters or ohmmeters. Strong communication skills to explain technical information clearly to clients while maintaining professionalism at all times.
