In this role, you will bring complex technical designs to life by reading electrical schematics, accurately mounting components like DIN rails and PLCs, and performing precision point-to-point wiring. The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on experience with industrial electrical components, takes pride in clean and organized craftsmanship, and can work independently to meet high safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Build and wire electrical control panels according to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Measure, cut, drill, and install DIN rail and other panel-mounting components. Accurately mount DIN rail to control panel backplates and housing units using appropriate hardware. Install and wire terminal blocks, circuit breakers, contactors, relays, power supplies, PLC components, VFDs, disconnects, and other electrical components. Route, dress, label, and terminate control and power wiring in a clean and professional manner. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Build control panels starting at approximately 24" x 30" and larger. Select appropriate wire sizes and termination methods based on drawings and specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, wire strippers, crimpers, drills, taps, and other panel-building equipment. Verify wiring and component placement for accuracy and workmanship. Perform continuity checks and basic electrical testing as required. Troubleshoot wiring issues and correct discrepancies between drawings and completed panels. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all applicable electrical, safety, and company standards.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience building and wiring electrical control panels. Demonstrated experience wiring large control panels, approximately 24" x 30" and larger. Experience measuring, cutting, and installing DIN rail onto panel backplates/housing units. Ability to accurately read and follow electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience with point-to-point wiring and proper wire routing/dressing. Familiarity with industrial electrical components and control-panel construction. Proficiency with common electrical hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, organized panel wiring. Ability to work independently while meeting production schedules and quality requirements.
