Electrical Technician Shift Hours:

SUMMARY:

Working under general supervision, the Electrical Technician performs support functions for electrical power distribution systems supplying power for retail merchandise supply chain conveying and sortation systems to ensure the efficient flow of merchandise in and out of the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The support mentioned above includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities. Maintains and repairs electrical equipment including, but not limited to substations, power panels, lighting panels, generators and motors. Electronically logs scheduled inspection reports of the operating equipment, fixed building equipment and building structures, maintenance, repairs and other records and schedules. Adheres to all operational, loss prevention and safety standards which includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Assists other technicians in the performance of maintenance activities and/or provides training/guidance. Performs other duties as assigned.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and tools used in troubleshooting, repairing and testing electrical power distribution systems and components.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

Minimum high school diploma/GED equivalent Associates Degree or Certification in Electrical Training preferred
