An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and industrial electrical systems. Experience working with three-phase electrical systems and industrial motors. Ability to safely use multimeters and other electrical diagnostic equipment. Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Understanding of electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Ability to independently diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate repairs. Willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, or emergency call-ins as required by plant operations. Skilled in the duties listed above Strong computer skillsPreferred:
Technical degree, electrical apprenticeship, journeyman certification, or equivalent industrial electrical training. 3-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation, and automated manufacturing equipment. Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley or similar industrial control systems. Experience in a high-speed, continuous-process, packaging, plastics, or other 24/7 manufacturing environment. Experience working with Maintain-X Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Successful candidates should demonstrate strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, a safety-first mindset, good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced production environment. The Plant Electrician must be comfortable working independently while also collaborating with maintenance and production teams. Physical Requirements The position regularly requires standing and walking for extended periods; climbing stairs and ladders; bending, kneeling, reaching, and working in confined or elevated areas; using hand and power tools; and lifting or moving up to approximately 50 pounds. Employees may be exposed to noise, heat, moving machinery, electrical equipment, and other conditions typical of an industrial manufacturing environment. Safety Expectations Safety is an essential function of this position. The Plant Electrician is expected to comply with all company safety policies and applicable electrical safety requirements, including proper use of PPE, Lockout/Tagout procedures, machine guarding requirements, and established safe electrical work practices. Employees should immediately report unsafe conditions and stop work when conditions present an unacceptable safety risk.
