In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in residential or commercial settings. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential and/or commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 standards and local electrical codes. Maintain compliance with all electrical safety procedures during installation, repair, and maintenance activities. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to ensure proper electrical system integration according to blueprints. Document all work performed through detailed reports, logs, and compliance records in accordance with safety regulations. Skills Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments with a strong understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Expertise in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools. Experience working with high-voltage wiring and industrial electrical systems safely and efficiently. Knowledge of local electrical codes along with NEC (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements. Ability to perform electrical wiring installation on construction sites or during renovation projects with precision. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, schematics reading, and automation components. Strong hand tool proficiency including wire strippers, screwdrivers, drills, frame carpentry tools, and handyman skills for miscellaneous tasks. Understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents during installation or repairs.
