An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. Job Description

NIGHT shift position - 12 hour Continental Shift Schedule 8pm-8am. This is a skilled advanced industrial electrician position. This position requires skills in trouble shooting and maintaining industrial automation and controls. Builds, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical control systems associated with new and existing industrial machinery. Interact with use of the CMMS (ER Portal) to open, perform and complete work orders issued by the Group Leader or Planner Scheduler. Assists fellow maintenance electricians, maintenance technicians, and contract integrator/engineers in the installation, trouble shooting and repair of equipment. Installs, programs, trouble shoots, and maintains AC and DC drives. Experience with the following a bonus: Rockwell logic 5000 software, AB Control logic
PLC, AB 700/750
series drives, Siemens S120 series drives, Siemens 6RA series DC drives, Siemens S7 series PLC, Llumin CMMS, Auto CAD. Must be familiar with and understand the proper use of the test instruments used in this position: a.) Fluke multi-meter b.) Fluke amp-meter c.) Fluke oscilloscope d.) Fluke mega ohm-meter e.) Fluke "J" and "K" type thermometers f.) Fluke infra-red heat gun Ability to read and draw schematic diagrams associated with ladder logic, electrical device installation and function.
Minimum education required:
High school or GED, Completion of Basic Electronic-College or Technical. Industrial Electronics Maintenance Technology-Technical degree or equivalent.
Minimum experience required:
Four years experience in the electrical trade, including completion of an apprenticeship. Considerable knowledge of the practice, methods, tools, equipment, and materials of the electrical trade. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes. Skilled in the use and care of tools and equipment used in the electrical trade. Skilled in locating and adjusting defects in electrical systems and equipment. The ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to read and interpret sketches, diagrams, and blueprints.
Description of working conditions/physical surroundings:
Must be able to sit, crawl, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, crouch, kneel and climb frequently (25% to 75%). Must be able to lift and carry 10-50 lbs. frequently and over 50 lbs. occasionally (25% or less). Must be able to push and pull 10-50 lbs. frequently (25% to 75%), and over 50 lbs. occasionally (25% or less).
