Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various residential, commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. You must be able to work well with others and also at times by yourself. Duties Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial and industrial environments Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as ohmmeters and ammeters; perform troubleshooting to identify faults quickly Follow electrical safety procedures to protect yourself and colleagues during all phases of work Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction site equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems Extensive knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, and system repairs Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and building codes accurately Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and electrical safety procedures Proficiency with testing instruments. Motors, controls and alarm system experience would be a plus Construction site experience including blueprint reading and adherence to electrical building codes Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power tools for construction work.
