QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five years of experience in troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing commercial electrical systems. Knowledge and understanding of local, state, and national codes and regulations. Knowledge of fire alarm systems preferred. Current journeyman's or master's license. Maintain current/valid driver's license. Ability to communicate, orally and in writing with others. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.

JOB GOALS:
To effectively and efficiently maintain, renovate, and repair the electrical system and equipment of the district under the direction of the Lead Electrician and Crafts Manager; this includes job layouts, blueprint reading, maintaining working inventory of supplies, implementation of preventative maintenance procedures, and practicing energy conservation.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs preventative maintenance on district electrical equipment including but not limited to panels, disconnects, switch gear, motors, ventilators, emergency lighting equipment, circulating pumps, scoreboards, hot carts, public address systems, fire alarms. Provides information to Architects, Engineers, and Contractors. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems for water heaters, Bradley hand washers, fire door sentronics, HVAC AC units and exhaust fans. Performs work to accepted trade standards. Works and communicates effectively with others. Reads and interprets diagrams on communications equipment, fire alarm systems, clock and bell systems. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical panels, and lighting systems/lighting controls. Prepares recommendations on layout and design for repaired and installation of equipment and service. Assists in the design of renovation, upgrade and remodeling projects. Works jointly with Lead Electrician to coordinate scheduling from the daily work order system and other duties. Performs locates as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Bending, lifting up to 90 lbs., climbing, continuous standing. May be exposed to dust and dirt. Work both indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to inclement weather and ultraviolet radiation. Must be physically and medically able to wear respiratory protective equipment.
