Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential electrical work, demonstrating proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and various electrical systems. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics, as well as experience with low voltage systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs are completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs. Conduct tests using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems. Collaborate with other tradespeople on job sites, including carpenters and general contractors. Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. Adhere to all safety regulations and codes while performing work duties. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on tasks. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in residential settings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and other electrical testing equipment. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical codes. Experience with low voltage systems is preferred. Ability to perform frame carpentry tasks as needed for installations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. Must possess a valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
