Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Underground Maintenance Technician to join our operations team. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of underground equipment and infrastructure within a manufacturing or industrial facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various underground systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation of critical underground processes while adhering to safety standards and best practices. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on underground machinery and systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments. Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical blueprint reading, and electrical diagnostics. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance procedures. Assist in the installation of new underground systems or upgrades to existing infrastructure. Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting and repair initiatives across the facility. Requirements At least 3 years of underground maintenance experience. $35.00 - $39.00 per hour
