An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description

  • Position Overview
  • Electrical/Engine Install is responsible for the installation of motors and transmissions within each unit. This includes installation of all wires and electrical components in the motors including AC and DC, as well as installation of hot and cold water lines within each unit.
  • Essential Job Functions
  • Know how to install motor and transmissions
  • Know how to install electrical wiring on the units
  • Know how to install hot and cold water lines
  • Use tool such as chop saw and air tools
  • Cut tie bars to the proper length
  • Know torque specs
  • Use a tape measure efficiently
  • Must be Volvo and Mercury certified
  • Non-essential Job Functions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Keep work area organized
  • Must be a great problem solver
  • Requirements
  • Work inside without air conditioning
  • Able to stand and walk around regularly
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and bending frequently
  • Must be able to lift and handle up to 35 pounds of material
