Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including high-voltage systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and power distribution, along with mechanical knowledge of conveyors, pumps, and hydraulics. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, precision, and technical expertise are paramount. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safety compliance. Troubleshoot electrical issues involving 480V systems, motors, motor controls, panels, power distribution, PLCs, VFDs, relays, contactors, sensors, and schematic reading using meters and diagnostic tools. Repair or replace faulty electrical components such as relays, contactors, sensors, and wiring. Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams accurately to diagnose problems efficiently. Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment including conveyors, pumps, mixers, bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Assist with the installation of new electrical systems or upgrades to existing systems in accordance with safety standards. Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure minimal disruption to production processes. Document maintenance activities and report on system performance issues for continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of 480V electrical systems including motors, motor controls, panels, power distribution components, PLCs, VFDs, relays, contactors, sensors, and schematic reading. Competence in troubleshooting electrical faults using meters and diagnostic tools. Mechanical skills related to conveyors, pumps, mixers, bearings, gearboxes, chains/ belts; familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred. Ability to read electrical schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Relevant technical certifications or training in electrical maintenance are highly desirable. Pay:
$31.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
