Overview Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Electrician and become a vital part of maintaining and optimizing our heavy industrial aluminum manufacturing facility's electrical and automation systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and industrial maintenance across furnace, hot mill, cold mill, annealing, and finishing operations. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex electrical systems ranging from 480V to 13.8kV, including PLCs, VFDs, motors, controls, and automated equipment. Your proactive approach will help prevent downtime and support the overall safety and productivity of our facility. Responsibilities Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on industrial equipment and electrical systems ranging from 480V to 13.8kV. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair switchgear, transformers, busbars, motor control centers (MCCs), and electrical distribution systems. Diagnose and repair motors, starters, contactors, relays, VFDs, servos, encoders, and control circuits. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other industrial automation systems. Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, including thermal imaging, calibration, inspections, and CMMS documentation. Troubleshoot and maintain furnace electrical systems, burner controls, ignition systems, and high-temperature instrumentation. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and P&IDs for accurate troubleshooting and repairs. Support equipment installations, commissioning, electrical upgrades, and control system improvements. 70E, arc flash, and other electrical safety procedures while performing maintenance activities. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize production downtime. Experience 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience within manufacturing facilities or similar heavy industrial environments. Strong hands-on experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems and industrial electrical troubleshooting. Experience with high-voltage electrical distribution systems up to 13.8kV is highly desirable. Hands-on experience troubleshooting motors, motor controls, MCCs, starters, contactors, relays, and VFDs. Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and P&IDs. Skilled in using electrical diagnostic tools and meters to identify electrical faults and equipment failures. Experience with furnace electrical systems, burner controls, instrumentation, servos, and encoders is a plus. Experience troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a plus.
