This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise, electrical skills, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and preparing equipment in accordance with mechanical and electrical drawings, work instructions, and production requirements. The position performs a combination of mechanical assembly and electrical work, including mounting components, running conduit, pulling and terminating wire, and testing electrical equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Duties:
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical and electrical assembly work. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, and related production documentation. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely position equipment, materials, and components. Mount electrical enclosures, panels, motors, switches, and other components on ADM equipment. Measure, bend, route, and install conduit in accordance with drawings and equipment requirements. Drill, punch, and prepare holes in electrical enclosures and equipment for component installation. Pull, route, label, and terminate electrical wiring and cables. Wire and terminate motors and field devices including limit switches, solenoids, pressure switches, and other electrical components. Program, configure, and test variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other electrical components as required. Perform basic functional checks and assist with troubleshooting to verify proper installation and operation. Complete mechanical assembly activities as needed to support equipment build and production flow. Prepare completed equipment for shipment, including securing components, protecting electrical equipment, and completing required final preparation. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow applicable safety procedures and work instructions. Communicate quality, material, drawing, or assembly issues to supervision and appropriate support functions. Perform all other duties as assigned.
