- 42/hr , based on experience Immediate start Overtime may be available Weekly pay Required Experience Must be a Journeyman Electrician Strong industrial or electrical-service experience Hands-on CADWELD/exothermic welding experience required Must know how to properly operate a Megger Comfortable working around 277/480V and 120/208V three-phase systems Experience making large electrical terminations Able to read one-line diagrams, blueprints, and electrical drawings Able to work independently with minimal supervision 10+ years of electrical experience preferred Must have personal hand tools and PPE Reliable transportation Power and Equipment Work Install and connect 277/480V and 120/208V three-phase systems Work with 800A and 400A services and disconnects Install and connect a 300KW generator, ATS, and 300KVA transformer Install panels, wireways, terminations, and equipment connections Complete remote-start and generator-alarm wiring between the ATS and generator Underground and Grounding Work Install large PVC conduit, sweeps, and underground electrical feeds Run underground pathways between utility service equipment, CT/meter sections, disconnects, ATS, generator, transformer, panels, and shelter Install underground fiber and communication pathways Install a #2 bare tinned copper ground ring , ground rods, and inspection sleeves Ground and bond generators, transformers, ATS equipment, panels, disconnects, HVAC equipment, utility frames, junction boxes, fencing, and gates Perform required CADWELD/exothermic grounding connections Testing and Closeout Perform Megger insulation-resistance testing Complete continuity checks and torque verification Perform voltage and phase-rotation checks Conduct fall-of-potential ground testing Verify the grounding system reaches 5 ohms or less Install NEMA junction boxes, equipment supports, and liquidtight conduit Complete firestopping, weatherproofing, labeling, startup, and final closeout work This position is best suited for a highly experienced industrial electrician who can safely work around 480V equipment, complete large terminations, install and test grounding systems, perform CADWELD connections, and properly use a Megger.
