In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical work complies with all safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely in accordance with NFPA 70 standards and local electrical codes. Diagnose electrical issues through systematic troubleshooting techniques involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and other industrial controls. Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure continuous operation and prevent failures during construction or renovation projects. Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others on construction sites or industrial facilities. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and blueprint reading. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting complex systems involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage wiring, and low voltage circuits. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for accurate installation and repair tasks. Ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing equipment like voltmeters and ohmmeters; as well as specialized tools for high-voltage wiring. Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs while maintaining safety compliance. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures related to industrial environments; familiarity with renovation projects is a plus. Valid electrician license or certification as required by state or local authorities; experience reading electrical blueprints is essential.
