An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
$30.00-$36.00/hour Schedule Monday through Friday 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM Overtime as needed based on project requirements, maintenance needs, and operational demands Position Summary The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and controls in a safe and efficient manner. This position supports facility operations by performing electrical work, preventative maintenance, and general maintenance tasks as needed. When electrical workload is limited, this position will assist with other maintenance activities, projects, and operational tasks to support overall facility performance. Essential Functions Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components Perform electrical inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance activities Diagnose electrical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions Install and repair wiring, conduit, fixtures, motors, controls, and electrical equipment Ensure all electrical work is completed in compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards Perform lockout/tagout procedures and follow all safety requirements Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition Assist with general maintenance tasks, facility repairs, and other duties when electrical work is not required Communicate effectively with operations and management teams Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to pass company-required background check and drug screening Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Climb ladders, stairs, and work from elevated platforms when required Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment Work in industrial, outdoor, and facility environments Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday Additional Requirements Must follow all company safety policies and procedures Must comply with OSHA standards and electrical safety requirements Must properly use required PPE Must maintain a clean and organized work environment Must be available to support maintenance needs outside of normal duties when required Additional Information This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or relocation assistance Equal Opportunity Employer Employer participates in
