Job Description
The Financial Reporting Manager prepares and analyzes cost reports and other financial reports for internal and external purposes. Works with key grant personnel with issues as they arise related to contract reporting. Leads the staff who report to them so they may perform both effectively and efficiently in their roles.
Prepare cost reports and other financial reports as required to ensure compliance with State, Federal and/or other Grantor requirements.
Assist with the preparation of grant budgets, grant renewals, and grant proposals as requestedWork directly with key State personnel in connection with issues as required and as they arise related to managing State and other Grantor financial reporting requirements.
Complete and/or manage account reconciliations and assist with financial statement reviewsComplete and/or supervise preparation of work papers for contract and grant reporting.
Complete and/or supervise preparation of work papers and documentation for the outside auditing firm as requestedCoordinate with and provide technical skills for other functional areas in the Financial Services Department. (Contract Services, Revenue Management and Compliance Reporting)Lead system reviews and enhancements as needed.
Prepares or assists in preparing financial reports and projects as requested by supervisor, Controller, or Finance CFOWorkflow mapping and monthly resource allocation proceduresBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role Senior level management experience preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass a drug screen test and KBI, MVR, and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance checks.
Must be able to tolerate prolonged sitting, stair climbing, minimal bending and stooping, and minimal lifting.
If working remotely, a dedicated home office, quiet environment, and fast/reliable internet is requiredMust have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation if office presence or business travel is required
