Job Summary Gillmann Services is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Electrician in Manhattan KS! Duration 2-3 months Hours 40+ Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including low voltage and high voltage wiring. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical schematics to execute precise installations. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to complete tasks efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and perform necessary maintenance or upgrades. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local regulations. Collaborate with construction teams, project managers, and clients to coordinate installation schedules and project requirements. Assist in renovation projects by modifying existing electrical systems while maintaining safety standards. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and compliance checks. Support the training of apprentices or less experienced electricians when required. Adhere strictly to safety protocols on construction sites or during installation processes. Skills Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage wiring. Familiarity with NEC standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations applicable to commercial projects. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively. Knowledge of construction site procedures including framing carpentry and renovation techniques. Ability to interpret schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently. Previous experience working on construction sites or renovation projects is highly desirable. Handyman skills are an asset for versatile troubleshooting across different building systems. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients. Pay:
