Job Title:
Commissioning AgentJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Commissioning Agent to assist with commissioning activities for new construction and existing building projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring building systems operate efficiently and meet project requirements. Responsibilities + Review construction documents, equipment submittals, and sequences of operation. + Conduct site visits to observe installation and verify system performance. + Perform and document functional testing of HVAC , electrical, lighting, and control systems. + Identify system deficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate corrective actions with project teams. + Prepare commissioning reports, deficiency logs, and project documentation. + Attend project meetings and communicate findings with owners, contractors, and design teams. + Support project closeout activities, training verification, and turnover documentation. Essential Skills + Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC service, installation, or operations; electrical installation or maintenance; building automation systems ( BAS ); facility maintenance or building operations; or mechanical or electrical commissioning. + Strong understanding of building systems and troubleshooting techniques. + Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Comfortable working in both office and field environments. Work Environment Work on a data center project in Kansas City, expected to last 2 years. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25- $40.86/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
