Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Crane Service Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy lifting equipment within industrial and manufacturing environments. In this energetic role, you will troubleshoot, service, and repair cranes and related machinery to ensure safe, reliable operation. Your expertise will help keep operations running smoothly, supporting safety standards and operational efficiency across diverse industrial settings. We are looking for motivated professionals with a passion for technical excellence and customer service to elevate our service capabilities. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on various crane systems including overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and jib cranes. Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechaniCal issues using schematics, electrical blueprint reading, and precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage circuits; utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system diagnostics. Conduct equipment troubleshooting involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems to restore optimal performance. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and parts inventory management. Collaborate with clients on technical sales opportunities by providing expert advice on crane upgrades or repairs. Operate field service vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols; support customer service initiatives by delivering timely and effective solutions. Qualifications Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities or industrial maintenance environments with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic systems, schematics interpretation, and equipment repair. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and troubleshooting tools like schematics and blueprints. Knowledge of industrial electrician practices including high voltage/low voltage systems and electrical blueprint reading. Skilled in equipment troubleshooting, electrical maintenance, and the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Familiarity with industrial equipment such as scissor lifts or HVAC/R systems is a plus; experience with CMMS software is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English; field service experience is preferred. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards at all times. $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
