Panel Technician- Senior Level TEC Systems Group - 3.0 Wichita, KS Job Details Full-time $45,000 - $68,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance 401(k) matching Referral program Qualifications AutoCAD Attention to detail Journeyman Electrician Electrician Apprentice Blueprint reading Master Electrician Hand tools Mechanical knowledge Time management Full Job Description Overview Routes, wires, assembles, and installs electrical and electronic components in roll forming equipment such as main junction and terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instruments, according to specifications, using jig boards, hand tools, and other equipment. Essential Functions Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions. Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, sub-assemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications. Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
Qualifications / Technical
Skills Familiar with UL508A assembly. Familiar with UL698A assembly (preferred but not required). Knowledge of NEC code. Participate in print development (corrections and suggestions). Basic AutoCAD knowledge. Ability to produce Marker Cards and Panel Labeling. Able to use and understand all precision measuring instruments. Understands basic math concepts. Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc. Able to use a wide variety of tools. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude. Soft Skills High moral-based work ethic and trustworthiness. Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize. Resourceful and can find answers to tough questions through research. Positive and clear communication skills. High-level attention to detail, problem-solving skills and organized. Self-directed and complete tasks with little or no guidance/direct supervision. Can work well independently and with others. Education Prefer successful completion of related course work at a trade or technical school. Prefer 5 years of relevant experience. Licensed Electrician preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to continuously sit or stand. Must be able to walk long distances and move from one work site to another. Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, squat, crawl, kneel and climb occasionally. Subject to environmental conditions inside and out: extreme heat/cold, wind, humidity, etc. Subject to noise levels above OSHA thresholds requiring PPE. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
